Our History
Vimala Convent Hr. Sec. School was established on 1st July 1980, at Sanawad, Khargone Dist, M.P.,By the Congregation of ‘the Sisters of St. Joseph Of Saint- Marc’. It is a unit of the Registered Society i.e. ‘The Kloster St. Trudpert e.v. Society’.
Rev. Sr. Susanna Chalissery, the Founder of the school envisaged the upliftment of the less privileged of the area, in founding it in a vernacular medium of the school. She had walked many extra miles to make her dream come true. The Alma Matter of thousands stands witnessing to her love for the poor and their well-being to this day. It has flourished and branched out under the providential care of the Almighty God.
In 1996 on the request of the people and as it was the need of the time Rev. Sr. Anitha Kochupaliathil, the Principal of the school, ventured to start English Medium School as part of the Hindi medium school in a shift system. Both Hindi and English medium schools grew together to the heights with excellent results. Besides this from the inception the school was co-ed in nature.
Being further more aware of the need of the students and the time, Rev. Sr. Resmy Chirayath and Sr. Vincy Puthur, the head of the crew of the school got the school affiliated with the C.B.S.E. Delhi, in the year 2005. Thereafter, the English medium section was shifted to the new building in the new site in the very year.
The school has ever contributed its best in all levels for materializing the vision of the founder and to keep the flame of love ablaze after the model of ‘Mother Mary’ the ‘Vimala’, the Patroness of the school till date.
